Photos from the Samaritan Children's Home in Sri Lanka just off the coast of India.
They are under horrible rebel gun fire day and night with guerilla warfare but God is protecting them.

On September 2005, we had Rita evacuees here at CCOFW from Houston and the Galveston area. We had 64 people from Port Arthur, one of the areas hardest hit, to remain with us for an extended period
of time. Haltom City provided police and paramedic services to our facilities through October 10th.
Our shelter and Salvation Army were the only ones remaining in Tarrant County during this period. |
Hotels or apartments would not work because these evacuees had no money for food or household items needed. CCOFW was able to provide the needed food and clothing for this group, the Katrina people who came weekly, and people from both hurricanes who were in homes with family but could not afford food. Red Cross used our facility for Katrina but everyone was called to service in the field for Rita, and they later returned to continue the aftermath work. |
IF I AM INTERESTED IN HELPING, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
CCOFW continues to meet the needs of the community, Katrina evacuees, and to anyone seeking assistance. We provide for the needs of many on a weekly basis, and are always in need of contributions.
YOU CAN HELP US OUT BY DOING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
|
Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers -- not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve;" I Peter 5:2
This is our motto "serve, serve, serve, serve, serve!" |
